We invest in the lives of Los Angeles residents by supporting opportunities to foster economic mobility and community well-being. Our approach to philanthropy centers on thoughtful stewardship for people to have the tools and resources needed to sow the seeds of positive transformation.
Kayne Opportunity Fund, an initiative of R&S Kayne LA, works to ensure youth thrive as a result of dedicated investment in pathways for advancement. Investments are focused on youth who are not in education, not employed, or in a training program (NEET). The fund aims to shift youth outcomes by increasing postsecondary participation, expanding career opportunities, and supporting community health.
RTS empowers foster and first generation college students to graduate college, launch successful careers, and reach their full potential.
Camino Nuevo Charter Academy educates students in a college preparatory program to be literate, critical thinkers, and independent problem solvers who are agents of social justice with sensitivity toward the world around them.
ECF Kayne Eras School (KES) is a WASC-accredited nonpublic school that provides special education for K-12 students. Here, students age 5-22 find help developing the social, intellectual, emotional and academic skills they need to learn at their fullest potential.
Kayne Scholars is a scholarship program dedicated to advancing the potential of first-generation college students to graduate from either the California State University or University of California system, and pivot into sustainable, meaningful careers in STEM or business related fields. R&S Kayne Foundation has proudly collaborated with ScholarMatch, America Needs You, UCLA, USC, and Ready to Succeed LA to ensure all Kayne Scholars have the support they need to earn a BA degree, accelerate their careers, and reach their full potential. This includes persistence focused college advising, robust career development, and targeted financial support, both basic needs and federal loan repayment. Kayne Scholars come from communities across Los Angeles County including partnerships with Alliance College-Ready Public Schools, Bright Star Schools, Camino Nuevo Charter Academy, College Track, Da Vinci Schools, Ednovate, Green Dot Public Schools, KIPP Through College, Math & Science College Prep, Operation Jumpstart, and USC Leslie and William McMorrow Neighborhood Academic Initiative (NAI). Since launching in 2015, 130 students have graduated and are now working, in graduate school, or for recent graduates, on the path to employment. 66 students will graduate in spring 2024 and early 2025.
Preserving Legacy.
R&S Kayne Foundation New Zealand is dedicated to supporting the strength of New Zealand communities while preserving the country's heritage. Our philanthropic efforts support education, social welfare, conservation, health, and cultural initiatives, all with a commitment to the well-being of Aotearoa and the Māori community.
The Shorebirds Trust invests in scientific research, funds and coordinates conservation efforts aimed to improve coastal biodiversity. Conservation initiatives are designed to increase endangered shorebird populations at Mangawhai and Te Ārai.
An annual event sponsored by Tara Iti golf club in collaboration with Tara Iti Whānau Charitable Trust to positively make a difference to the wellbeing of our local community and uplift guiding principles of aroha (love), manaakitanga (hospitality), and tika (fairness).
Te Arai Native Nursery, a not for profit organisation is dedicated to adding natural beauty and preserving New Zealand's biodiversity by producing native plants that thrive in their natural habitats. Plant sales and donations support conservation and riparian planting.
